Mission 2: Halo

Mission Objectives

1. Secure the crash site

   Your lifeboat touches down in a grassy valley surrounded by Covenant dropships. Grab a DMR or Magnum from the weapon racks near the wreckage and clear the immediate Grunt patrols before they pin you against the pod.

2. Rescue the scattered Marine fireteams

   Follow the nav marker to three separate fireteams pinned down across the valley. Give each group a Warthog or provide covering fire. The Marines will follow you and soak up incoming damage — keep them alive for the next section.

3. Cross the Halo's interior tunnel network

   Enter the underground Forerunner tunnel. The corridors are narrow and filled with Jackals carrying shields — use plasma weapons to drop their shields, then swap to a precision weapon for the headshot. Watch for Elite Minors at chokepoints.

4. Activate the light bridge

   Reach the central Forerunner control room and activate the bridge mechanism. Covenant reinforcements will rush in from both sides while the bridge powers up — post your Marines at the far entrance and hold the control console with grenades.

5. Rescue Captain Keyes' survivors

   Push across the light bridge toward the Captain's crash site. A Spirit dropship deploys two Elite Majors and a squad of Grunts on the far side — use the boulders for cover and whittle them down before the Captain's lifeboat takes more damage.

Boss Strategy

No dedicated boss encounter. The toughest fight is the final push toward Keyes' lifeboat, where two Elite Majors in red armor deploy simultaneously from a Spirit dropship. Stick a plasma grenade to one as it exits the grav-lift — the blast radius will catch the second. If they both reach cover, fall back to the light bridge and use the long sightlines to pick them off with the Sniper Rifle from the secret cave.

• Terminal 2 — Inside the Forerunner structure near the first light bridge
• Skull: Mythic — On a cliff ledge overlooking the second Marine rescue site
• Supply Case — Behind the waterfall near the underground tunnel entrance

Secrets & Easter Eggs

• Hidden Sniper Rifle cave — after rescuing the second fireteam, hug the right cliff wall. Look for a narrow crevice partially hidden by hanging moss; inside is a Sniper Rifle with two spare magazines and a health pack. This rifle makes the tunnel section far easier.
• Flamethrower location — in the underground tunnel section, when you reach the large two-tiered room with the waterfall, climb the left ramp to the upper ledge. The flamethrower rests against a supply crate. It chews through ammo fast but deletes Flood infection forms in later missions.
• Extra Warthog — a second intact Warthog sits behind the crashed Pelican near the first fireteam. Grab it if your first one flips or takes too much damage. The AI Marines are surprisingly competent gunners when you drive.
