Editorial Policy & Content Standards

How we maintain quality, accuracy, and originality across every guide, database entry, and article on FPSLegacyHub.

Content Standards

Every piece of content on FPSLegacyHub must meet these standards:

  • Originality — All content is original work. We do not rewrite, paraphrase, or aggregate from other gaming websites, wikis, or forums.
  • Accuracy — Stats, strategies, and information are verified through direct gameplay testing. We note when information is preliminary or based on pre-release materials.
  • Practical Value — Every guide must provide actionable advice that helps players improve, learn, or discover something new.
  • Depth — Articles meet minimum depth requirements (1,500 words for standard guides, 2,500+ for comprehensive walkthroughs and databases).
  • Structure — Articles follow a consistent structure with clear headings, tables where appropriate, practical examples, and FAQ sections addressing real player questions.

Research & Fact-Checking

Our research process begins with primary gameplay. For each game we cover, our writers log significant hours across multiple difficulty levels and playstyles. Database stats are collected directly from gameplay, not copied from external sources.

Before publication, every guide undergoes a fact-check review by a second team member who has also played the game. Disputed information is re-tested in-game.

Update Policy

We regularly review and update our content. Updates are triggered by:

  • Game patches or updates that change mechanics, balance, or content
  • New information or strategies discovered by the community
  • Reader feedback identifying errors or omissions
  • Scheduled annual content reviews for accuracy

Every article displays its last updated date so readers know how current the information is.

AI Content Policy

We do not publish unedited AI-generated content. While we may use tools to assist with research and drafting efficiency, every published article is written, reviewed, and refined by human FPS experts with direct gameplay experience in the relevant game.

Independence & Transparency
